Emmy Nominated Costumes 2017 On Display at FIDM through Oct.7

The 2017 Creative Arts Emmys - the annual ceremony, which honors outstanding artistic and technical achievement in a variety of television program genres—was split into two nights this past weekend, for the second year in a row.
The two-night event held at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. - the same place that the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Sept. 17th - featured  92 awards, split into 46 awards per night. The Creative Arts Emmys will be televised on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. on FXX. The winners and nominees in Emmy 2017 Costume Design are featured at FIDM Museum new exhibit: 11th Annual Art Of Television Costume Design now on display until Oct.7 2017:

The Art of Television Costume Design celebrates right now the new "Golden Age" of TV programming. This annual exhibition includes a variety of Emmy Award-nominated shows exploring themes of digital research, fandoms, re-launches, and the fast-paced work environment on set. Audience favorites such as The Crown, This is Us, Big Little Lies, and The Handmaid’s Tale are displayed, and  other exciting designs from multiple network, streaming, and cable productions of 2016-2017.

FIDM Museum’s newest exhibit, The 11th Annual Art of Television Costume Design, is open to the public until Oct.7 This FREE show in Downtown Los Angeles features costumes nominated for the Emmy Awards 2017 for Best Costumes, along with numerous other costumes from prominent TV shows 2016-17.
                                              
 Costumes from 25 different shows are represented:  Big Little Lies, The Mindy Project, Grace and Frankie, The Handmaid’s Tale, Westworld, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Stranger Things, Younger, This is Us and more.

Highlights for lovers of vintage fashion include the early ’60s costumes from FEUD: Bette and Joan, and the mid-century costumes of The Crown.
FIDM Museum is located at 919 S. Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public, Tuesday - Saturday, 10AM-5PM www.fidmmuseum.org

Creative Arts Emmys was given Sept. 9-10pm, and the FXX Channel will show highlights from Saturday and Sunday’s award presentations in 92 categories Sept. 16 at 8pm.
