GERALD CASALE, legendary musician and co-founder of the iconic, new wave art rock group DEVO, hosted a night of music and wine tasting at THE RECORD PARLOUR--the newest and most distinguished record store to open up in Los Angeles last Tuesday night.

GERALD CASALE played vintage DEVO remixes and rarities on vinyl to a variety of his guests as well as the media and industry.Those in attendance were also treated to CASALE's new vintages from THE 50 BY 50--his award-winning new wine brand which includes the 2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and the 2014 Sonoma Coast Rosé of Pinot Noir. The appetizers that were paired with the wine were provided by Hollywood's Aventine.

Last year, CASALE successfully launched his celebrated debut vintages the "2012 Pinot Noir" which Virginie Boone from Wine Enthusias magazine awarded a 94 point rating and described as, "an ethereal, feminine Pinot, sublime in color and texture, bright in tart cherry. Brisk in acidity, it offers an undercurrent of dried herbes de Provence, cinnamon and exotic spice, evolving in the glass as it goes" (February 2015).

THE RECORD PARLOUR quickly becoming a staple hang out in the heart of Hollywood, and 

 is a one-of-a-kind environment with an authentic vibe: as artists perform live, surrounded by over 30,000 vinyl records, vintage stereo gear and music memorabilia.

The store has been building a name for itself as it comes upon its second year, by hosting in-store showcases, from pop-up gigs and DJ sets to entire live performances recorded and transferred directly to vinyl onsite. 

Owned and operated by founder Chris Honetschlaeger (previous BETA records) and manager/partner ChadwickHemus,  Chris has a background in vintage equipment and Chadwick is a vinyl curator for the original Amoeba (San Francisco)

THE RECORD PARLOUR's vintage offerings  jukeboxes, amps, microphones, '70s turn-tables and speakers-- are refurbished to pristine condition alongside its vinyl collection which focuses on original releases verses new releases.

Gerald's 50 BY 50 Estate is a 23-acre property situated southeast of the Atlas Peak AVA (American Viticultural Area)and north of the Wild Horse AVA on the Monticello Road incline in the Wooden Valley of Napa, CA. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot varietalsare being planted there for the purpose of producing an exquisite, hand-crafted, bio-dynamically farmed Bordeaux-style blend in roughly three years.
