JonBenét Ramsey Murder Mystery To Air on Lifetime, CBS, Investigation Discovery and KOIN

By Karen Ostlund
JonBenet Ramsey as beauty pageant
Twenty years after the murder was announced of 6-year-old Colorado beauty pageant contestant JonBenét Ramsey - a TV movie centered on the shocking crime is headed to Lifetime.
CBS Network will air a 6 hours docu-series, and Investigation Discovery will air a 3 nights series. Dr. Phil on KOIN Network will air interviews with JonBenet's brother Burk Ramsey. A & E Network debuted their 2 hours special yesterday, Labor day, "The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered".
The 20th anniversary of the JonBenét Ramsey has generated renewed attention, with a CBS  docu-series, The Case of JonBenét Ramsey, to debut Sept. 18 2016, and a movie on the Lifetime network, tentatively titled Who Killed JonBenét?, to air in November. The film will star Band of Brothers' Eion Bailey as Detective Steve and Mr. Robot's Michel Gill and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion's Julia Campbell as the parents of young Ramsey (newcomer Payton Lepinski).
The December 25th 1996 death of Ramsey cast an intense spotlight on the 6-year-old's family and continues to captivate the nation.

Over the course of three nights, on Investigation Discovery will feature interviews with investigators, journalists, and with John Mark Karr, who falsely confessed to the crime. There will be more than 500 rarely seen personal photos and home videos from the Ramsey family archives" and "never-before-seen crime scene footage from inside the house, captured in the moments after JonBenet was found.
"JonBenet: An American Murder Mystery" airs Monday, Sept. 12; Tuesday, Sept. 13; and Wednesday, Sept. 14, all at 10 p.m. on Investigation Discovery Network:

Also airing on Monday, Sept. 12, and continuing on Tuesday, Sept. 13 and Monday, Sept. 19 is Phil McGraw's interview with JonBenet Ramsey's brother, Burke, as the"Dr. Phil" show begins its new season. In his first-ever media interview, JonBenet's 29-year-old brother, Burke, reveals what he knows about his sister's mysterious murder in a ripped-from-the-headlines exclusive interview with Dr. Phil. The show will feature never-seen-before interrogation interviews conducted with Burke at ages 9 and 12 will be seen publicly for the first time."Dr. Phil" airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on KOIN.
Even the somewhat more prestigious CBS network offers its own six-hour event docu-series, "The Case of: JonBenet Ramsey," which unites original investigators of the case. New experts also weigh in on their investigation, which included re-examining evidence with the benefit of new technology and forensic tools.
"The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey" premieres at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 and continues at 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, with its conclusion at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 on CBS Network. The three-part Dr. Phil series on KOIN (photos below) will be broadcast Sept. 12, Sept. 13 and Sept. 19 2016.

Burke and his parents, John and Patsy Ramsey,  were all cleared by authorities of involvement in the unsolved mystery that began when the body of JonBenét, a child pageant queen, was discovered in the basement of the family's home the day after Christmas in 1996. She was strangled with a cord around her neck and duct tape over her mouth. There were two red marks in her face of a stun gun.

The parents also reported finding a ransom note demanding the curious total of $118,000 – the exact amount of a recent bonus received by John Ramsey.
Burke and his father are the family's sole surviving membersPatsy Ramsey, then 49, died of ovarian cancer in 2006, two years before then-Boulder District Attorney Mary Lacy stated officially that nothing tied the parents to the crime.
There have been many opinions over the years how to resolve JonBenet Ramsey Murder Mystery, and one of them came from Denver Post in 2001, while Patsy was still alive. The ex-housekeeper believed Patsy Ramsey killed JonBenet: http://rense.com/general11/benet.htm
