The pre-Emmy event benefited Autism Changes, an organization that promotes awareness and acceptance for those living with Autism Carus Recovery, a new recovery center in Tarzana featured a Media Center hosted by Gretchen Rossi (Real Housewives of OC) interviewing guests on the growing problem of addiction in the USA.

Emmy Nominated Costumes 2017 On Display at FIDM through Oct.7

The 2017 Creative Arts Emmys - the annual ceremony, which honors outstanding artistic and technical achievement in a variety of television program genres—was split into two nights this past weekend, for the second year in a row.
The two-night event held at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. - the same place that the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on Sept. 17th - featured  92 awards, split into 46 awards per night. The Creative Arts Emmys will be televised on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. on FXX. The winners and nominees in Emmy 2017 Costume Design are featured at FIDM Museum new exhibit: 11th Annual Art Of Television Costume Design now on display until Oct.7 2017:

The Art of Television Costume Design celebrates right now the new "Golden Age" of TV programming. This annual exhibition includes a variety of Emmy Award-nominated shows exploring themes of digital research, fandoms, re-launches, and the fast-paced work environment on set. Audience favorites such as The Crown, This is Us, Big Little Lies, and The Handmaid’s Tale are displayed, and  other exciting designs from multiple network, streaming, and cable productions of 2016-2017.

FIDM Museum’s newest exhibit, The 11th Annual Art of Television Costume Design, is open to the public until Oct.7 This FREE show in Downtown Los Angeles features costumes nominated for the Emmy Awards 2017 for Best Costumes, along with numerous other costumes from prominent TV shows 2016-17.
 Costumes from 25 different shows are represented:  Big Little Lies, The Mindy Project, Grace and Frankie, The Handmaid’s Tale, Westworld, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Stranger Things, Younger, This is Us and more.

Highlights for lovers of vintage fashion include the early ’60s costumes from FEUD: Bette and Joan, and the mid-century costumes of The Crown.
FIDM Museum is located at 919 S. Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public, Tuesday - Saturday, 10AM-5PM

Creative Arts Emmys was given Sept. 9-10pm, and the FXX Channel will show highlights from Saturday and Sunday’s award presentations in 92 categories Sept. 16 at 8pm.

 Los Angeles Times' THE TASTE , had its annual festival at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, Sept.1st-3rd. It celebrated the flavors of the world in Southern California style cuisine and remains the most popular event for Angelenos who stayed in the city, during Labor Day weekend heat-wave.

Legendary photographer Chris Cuffaro, widely renowned for his prolific 35+ year career capturing the cultural zeitgeist, presented his new exhibit Greatest Hits: Martini Ranch running September 7 at Mr Musichead Gallery in West Hollywood, California.

The exhibit features intimate, behind-the-scenes photographs celebrating the 30th anniversary of director James Cameron’s music video REACH ,” starring late actor Bill Paxton and Andrew Todd from progressive new wave band Martini Ranch, then signed to Warner Bros. Records. The post-apocalyptic feminist western, which presents a Mad Max version of the American West, was produced by Tom Huckabee and Bill Paxton
The All-Star cast includes Kathryn Bigelow, Paul Reiser, Judge Reinhold, Adrian Pasdar, Bud Cort, Mark Rolston, Lance Henricksen, Brian Thompson, Phillip Granger, Jenette Goldstein and Bobbi Brat among others.  
Comments Cuffaro: I have to say this was the music video shoot that gave me the directing bug. Watching James Cameron work was fucking brilliant.  He could do everyones job on a set.  He was crazy in all the right ways.  Bill really made the shoot fun & everyone was really into giving their best.
Cuffaro, who had free reign during the two-day REACHshoot, will unveil on set portraits, behind-the-scenes photos, proof sheets and never-before-seen images, with more than 80 prints on display. Considered to be among the most respected and accomplished entertainment industry photographers, Cuffaro’s catalog has consistently been ahead of the curve, with iconic photos depicting the most relevant musicians, actors, athletes and personalities of the last three decades. He brings a whole new level of emotional depth and human rawness to the art form, while always capturing and magnetizing the moment.
Cuffaro has worked with a succession of top talent including pop icon George Michael, the legendary Iggy Pop and groundbreaking bands such as Jane’s Addiction, Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nirvana.  He’s also shot live and studio images for Elvis Costello, No Doubt, Fiona Apple, Henry Rollins, Soundgarden and Scott Weiland among numerous others.
