Britweek LA: McLaren 570S Launch in Beverly Hills

The new racing-derived sports car, is fresh from it's debut at the New York International Auto show.

Jolyon Nash, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for McLaren Automotive introduced the car to eager car- enthusiasts.
Musical group Nvidia kept the guests moving as a magician toured the floor.

McLaren announced that the first model to be launched in its Sports Series family will be called the 570S Coupé.
This V8 powered, carbon fibre structured two seater showed its beautiful form when it debuted at the 115th New York International Auto Show, April 3rd-12th earlier this month.

The 570S marks a new chapter in McLaren's 51-year history. Set to be priced below the company's current range of McLaren P1™ and 650S exotic cars, the 570S breaks new ground for the Surrey-based manufacturer.

570S weighs over 300 pounds less than its nearest competitor and accelerates half a second quicker to 100 MPH.

Every Sports Series model will share its DNA with the Super Series and 
Ultimate Series, which sit above it in the McLaren hierarchy. 
A pure McLaren,offering class-leading levels of performance, coupled with 
optimism handling characteristics and driving dynamics.
The 570S Coupé marks the first time McLaren has offered its pioneering and 
race-derived technologies in the sports car segment.
                                                                                                The naming begun with the 650S, the number 570 gives the power output of this first McLaren Sports Series model 570PS, equates to 562 in hp.F.
