The Hollywood Museum’s Black History Month Exhibit

Donelle Dadigan, President of The Hollywood Museum and an elite group of personalities, honored Black History Month February 20th, with a new exhibit, “This Joint is Jumpin 2025: It’s a A Celebration of Black Entertainers from Film, TV, and Song.” More than 30 black entertainers are represented in this year’s exhibition with their iconic TV, film and concert costumes, props, as well as personal items and wardrobe worn during public appearances.

Donelle Dadigan, said “It is with great joy that we continue to honor the contributions of Black Entertainers, with some of the most iconic stars from tv, film, and music. We look forward to fans, of all ages, coming to see these great costumes, gowns, and outfits worn by some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.”
Entertainers costumes and memorabilia represented in the new exhibit include: FREDA PAYNE, CLAUDETTE ROBINSON, ROBERT GUILLOME, TED LANGE, LOLA FALANA, TANYA HART, FORREST WHITAKER, ISABEL SANFORD, SHERMAN HEMSLEY, MARLA GIBBS, WHITNEY HOUSTON, THE POINTER SISTERS, EARTHA KITT, DENZEL WASHINGTON, NELL CARTER, EDDIE MURPHY, ERNIE HUDSON, WESLEY SNIPES, DON CHEADLE, VIOLA DAVIS, IDRIS ELBA, WILL SMITH, PHIL MORRIS, GREG MORRIS, LAVERNE COX, NATALIE COLE, DIANA ROSS, LENA HORNE, STRAIGHT OUTA COMPTON, DEBRA WILSON, SUGAR RAY LEONARD and MUHAMMAD ALI.
