 By Karen Ostlund

The international photographic art exposition - photo l.a. - will celebrate its 25th anniversary fair this January 21-24, 2016 at The REEF, located in the historic LA Mart building in Downtown Los Angeles.
The fair kicks off on Thursday, January 21st at 7pm with an Opening Night Gala, held in honor of artist James Welling with proceeds going to benefit Best Buddies International.
photo l.a. has a long and rich history of bringing the photographic and arts communities together.
Each year the show expand with a diverse showcase of photographic art, ranging from 19th Century works to contemporary and innovative photo-based art. Galleries, dealers, museums, schools, and non-profit organizations participate to define what photography has been, what it is today, and what it might evolve into. The show presents programming, which includes lectures, round table discussions, special installations, and docent tours with distinguished members of the photography/arts community.
