Kathryn Sermak is the former assistant to Bette Davis. She took the podium to share some of the most loving memories of her former boss, “All of which can be found and more in my book, MISS D AND ME.” Her first task was to cook an egg 3 minutes, which was part of Miss Davis daily breakfast.
Host of the evening, President and Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Miss Donelle Dadigan, welcomed the guests to visit both the BRUNETTES ONLY and BROWNETTES ONLY rooms in the original Max Factor Building where Miss Davis had her looks carefully created for many of her films, including three of which were featured in the lobby with costumes from THE BRIDE CAME C.O.D., THE VIRGIN QUEEN and the Academy Award winning ALL ABOUT EVE. Also personal items as cookbooks from Miss Davis estate were on display.
Among the speakers were Alison Arngrim, Ernest Hardin Jr., Kathryn Sermak, Donelle Dadigan and Kathy Garver.

Alison Arngrim, recalled her wigmaker for LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, who took inspiration from Bette’s hair on WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE.
